Toronto, Ontario – January 9th, 2020 – ergoCentric is pleased to announce the appointment of Lucy Hart as the Director, Workplace Ergonomics and Well-being.
“Lucy is an ergonomics expert who has championed best practices in office ergonomics in both Canada and the United States,” said Terry Cassaday, chairman and founder of ergoCentric. “I am confident that Lucy will bring her passion, dedication and wealth of experience to build on the success ergoCentric has experienced to date.”
Lucy Hart has an accomplished career. She is a Canadian Certified Professional Ergonomist (CCPE) and a WELL Accredited Professional. The WELL Building Standard is the premier standard for buildings, interior spaces and communities seeking to implement, validate and measure features that support and advance human health and wellness. Lucy chairs the BIFMA Ergonomics Sub-Committee (Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer’s Association) that developed and maintains the industry’s ergonomics guideline. As Chair of the CSA Technical Committee on Office Ergonomics, she led the revision of CSA Z412 from a guideline to an office ergonomics application standard for the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Group. She is also the Co-Chair of the International Outreach Committee for the Applied Ergonomics Conference where this year she will present “On the Road to Employee Well-being: A Boost from Building Standards” and co-present “A Sneak Peek at Revisions to BIFMA G1 as it Transitions to an ANSI Standard”.

Prior to joining ergoCentric, Lucy Hart spent twenty years as the chief ergonomist at Global Furniture Group and ten years as an ergonomics consultant at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). Lucy holds a M. Sc., in Work Physiology.
