Our client, a green energy-focused investment firm, was preparing for a strategic relocation in the heart of Toronto’s financial district. Their primary objective was to design a workspace that would not only captivate with innovative design but also meet the ergonomic needs of each employee. In discussions with our seating and furniture experts, they emphasized the significance of height-adjustable workstations and supportive seating that accommodates various body types and work styles. As an added benefit, our client found that ergoCentric’s values closely aligned with their own commitment to sustainability. All of ergoCentric’s furniture solutions meet the highest environmental standards, including Greenguard certification, ISO 14001 compliance, and BIFMA e3 level 3 task seating. ergoCentric’s seating design philosophy is centered around the science of sitting. Since 1990, ergoCentric has been helping customers create workstation centered around employee well-being and productivity. For the client, our seating and furniture experts put together an open-concept work environment featuring ergonomic workstations while also offering quieter spaces. This solution gave the clients team members the freedom to work in a way that best suited their unique tasks and personal preferences.

Our team collaborated closely with the client throughout the planning process, ensuring we fully understood their design vision and specific human factor needs. ergoCentric started from the task chairs and built out an ergonomic workstation that included height adjustable desk, monitor arms, and power and data accessories.
The tCentric Hybrid™️ was chosen as the ergonomic task chair versatile enough to accommodate various body types, and tasks. With its optional seat sizes and the proven dual curve ergonomic design, the tCentric Hybrid puts the users’ comfort and well being first. The mesh backrest with lumbar support provides ample support with air flow, all packaged into a modern design.
Rectangular and V-shaped upCentric® desks were specified to allow for flexibility in not just the layout of the open concept office space, but to allow the desk heights to be adjusted to each individual’s preferences and tasks. Users would be able to sit at an optimal desk height, or switch between sitting and standing while working.
Lastly, understanding how the users will work on the desk and their power, data and monitor requirements, ergoCentric was able to provide a mix of ergonomic accessories that catered to these requirements.

Each desk was specified with monitor arms capable of handling the different screen sizes and orientations, while the power and data accessories provided the necessary ports to the mix of laptop and desktop users. All this bundled in a complete and clean package with our upCentric cable management system.
Despite challenges with the existing power locations, our design team created a unique floor plan that not only met but exceeded the client’s requirements.
Our commitment to providing tailored solutions resulted in custom tabletop shapes and sizes, as well as a unique configuration of our Power & Data Rail System, precisely catering to their workspace placement needs.
The unique advantage of ergoCentric’s Power & Data Rail system allowed us to design a space that was free of power and data cable clutter while also providing these resources to each workstation in the open-concept work space.

The project required us to consider various spaces, including open-area workstations, private offices, a boardroom, and a collaboration space. Each space had unique requirements, and we applied our science of ergonomic expertise to create unique solutions that aligned with our client’s vision and requirements.
We provided comprehensive layouts, renderings, and samples, making it easy for our client’s busy team to visualize the project and provide quick approval. We believe in working closely with our clients throughout the journey, ensuring their complete satisfaction at every stage.

Despite the tight timeline, we remained committed to meeting the agreed-upon delivery schedules. Due to building restrictions, we coordinated our installation team to work during nighttime hours, ensuring a smooth and timely setup for our client’s move-in day.
